Our story
Pete’s is all about fresh food, community and family. We opened our doors in 2019 after re-falling in love with the St. Petersburg community. Following a 10 year stint in NYC, husband and wife Steven and Sara Peterman found the perfect location for our dream store in Historic Uptown, just around the corner from where Sara grew up. Our friend Erica joined the team right away, back when we had a single folding chair and papered windows in our space. She, alongside a talented baking staff helped develop Pete’s into the community staple that it is today. We quickly grew out of our first location and opened what is now our flagship spot, in St. Pete’s Grand Central District.
We’re grateful to have now expanded into 5 locations across the Tampa Bay area - in St. Pete, Ybor City and Tarpon Springs - and we’ve added some babies to our Pete’s family too! We’re very proud of how far we’ve come: the spaces we’ve created, the team we’ve built and the customer experience and response that keeps us going. We prioritize making our spaces family-friendly and welcoming for all. We hope to see you soon!

The food
Our bagels are made from scratch, rolled and boiled daily. They are baked in the morning and gone by the end of the day.
